Krister studied mechanical engineering at Oslo University College and is a graduate engineer in electrical engineering from the TU Berlin and NTNU in Trondheim.
He has been working as a patent engineer since 2002 in electrotechnical and mechanical fields, especially within offshore technology. His areas of expertise also include patent protection of software related inventions. Krister has prepared many new Norwegian patent applications. He has substantial experience in searching patent databases, and is interested in how patent search and monitoring can be a resource for technology companies.
Krister is particularly focused on assisting companies with monitoring their technological fields, enabling them both to gain insight into their competitors' activities and discover new business partners. Krister is interested in the strategic use of the patent system in relation to timing and cost/benefit considerations and is particularly interested in entrepreneurs and startups.
